The 6th edition of the human rights film festival "Ad Hoc: Inconvenient Films" was officialy closed last week. As every year, the audience of the festival voted for the film they loved the most. The year more than 6,2 thousand Vilnius viewers decided that "Audience Choice Award" for the best film should be presented to lithuanian filmmaker Mindaugas Survila and his film "Field of Magic" (Stebuklų laukas).

The sixth international human rights film festival “AD HOC: INCONVENIENT FILMS“has started on Wednesday evening in Vilnius cinema theatre “Multikino“. Festival opening film "5 broken cameras" which tells the story about the turmoil going on in the Israeli occupied West Bank (directors Emad Burnat and Guy Davidi) brought over 300 guests including members of Lithuania Parliament, ambassadors, publicly know persons and social activists.

As an autumn film festivals marathon begins, organizers of human rights film festival „Ad Hoc: Inconvenient Films“ are putting the last points of the programme. October 17 will give the start for documentary film festival in Vilnius. It will present over the 40 most recent documentaries, divided into six thematic programmes and even invite you to meet 14 foreign filmmakers.

On May 28 – 30 representatives of 11 human rights film festivals met at the seminar “Human Rights in Film” in Vilnius (Lithuania). During three days the members of the Human Rights Film Network shared different experiences of using films in education and awareness raising, discussed possible partnership and cooperation ideas. The seminar was organised by “WatchDocs” and “Ad Hoc: Inconvenient Films” festivals’ team and took place in the framework of the EU supported project “Human Rights in Film”.
